The Reform Temple of Forest Hills is seeking a new part-time position funded by a grant. Building on the vision of creating “experiences that will foster a liberal Jewish identity”, this position of Junior Youth Group Specialist with a combined opportunity to, in addition, teach in our Religious School is being established to develop our Youth Group Program in grades younger than the normative Junior Youth group experience in grades 6-7. The goal is to develop after school youth activities starting in kindergarten through seventh grade. We believe that by creating Jewish play time after Religious school will strengthen Jewish identity.

Hours:Weekly after Religious School either on Wednesdays from 6PM to 8PM or Sundays 12-(time tbd);

Following skills a plus:

• Prior teaching and/or youth experience in a liberal Jewish environment;
• Hands-on, creative, energetic self starter;
• Knowledge of Hebrew and Jewish culture and tradition; and
• Excellent References
