MUSIC TEACHER

The Reform Temple of Forest Hills in Queens NY is seeking a part time Music Teacher. Building on the vision of creating “experiences fostering a liberal Jewish identity” we are seeking a candidate that can bring the Hebrew curriculum to life with music.

Hours: Wednesday 4:10PM to 6:10PM; Sundays 9AM-12Noon during school year. On occasion, we flip the school to Saturdays 9AM-12Noon.to hold special events and services when necessary.

The individual should have the following skill sets:

• Established musician and prior teaching experience in a liberal Jewish movement
• Qualified to instruct using simple instruments, singing Jewish songs, and developing a recital program for each age level.
• High energy, creative, and self started for a newly created position
• Comfort level with basic Hebrew
• Excellent references
