West End Synagogue, a Reconstructionist Congregation located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is seeking a teacher/song leader for a new Tot Shabbat Service for children under 4 years old and their parents, beginning in January.
We’ll provide a loosely structured curriculum but you will bring your own creativity and experience with early childhood Judaics to convey the beauty and joy of Shabbat for young families. With the help of our Rabbi and Hazzan, your positive influence will help young parents raise children in a liberal Jewish tradition.
You must be available on the following dates: January 29, February 12, March 26, April 16, May 10, and possibly June 11. Tot Shabbat Service time to be determined, but it will be one hour between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.
If the program is successful, it will become a weekly offering beginning September 2011. Salary: $100.00 per session
