Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing new client implementations. This includes interacting with clients effectively to gather specific business requirements. The PM is responsible for ensuring that the client business requirements are met, the project plan is defined and the implementation stays on track with any risks identified and communicated. Additionally it is the PM’s responsibility to manage the client relationship effectively.

  • Acts as the expert on behalf of company’s products.
  • Coordinates project plans and manages each task to ensure success.
  • Tracks, plans, and reports implementation progress, identifying and escalating project risks and resource conflicts.
  • Monitors the status of tasks on a daily basis to achieve on-time, quality completion of the implementation.
  • Communicates all statuses clearly, provides updates to management as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the client to effectively gather business requirements and manage client expectations.
  2. Provide accurate and timely implementation status reports.
  3. Maintain communication with assigned development teams.
  4. Provide immediate escalation of project ‘red flags’ and/or conflicts.
  5. Provide project contingencies for identified areas of risk and issue resolution.

Experience and Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have strong technology and communication skills and experience managing multiple projects; a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering desirable, or equivalent work experience. One to five years experience required in IT project management.

The PM will possess:

  • Experience in managing development projects
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing are critical.
  • The ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization as well as external clients to clearly communicate status and risks.
  • Aptitude and perseverance in problem solving and learning.
  • The ability to weigh alternatives and determine development and/or deployment strategies.

The Database Administrator is responsible to manage multiple environments containing Database Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services. Other expectations will include backup & recovery planning and implementation, performance monitoring & tuning, and scalability/capacity planning, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with business analysts and the development team to identify data needs and potential issues as well as help in the data model design, the product design and implement solutions to the source system applications
  • Identify and present opportunities to improve physical and logical structures
  • Monitor SQL Server instance and platform performance
  • Identify instance and platform bottlenecks, and recommend & implement effective means for improvement
  • Provide senior management with a dashboard and tools for monitoring bottlenecks and critical processing performance.
  • Provide database maintenance, including backup, consistency checks, index maintenance and gathering of server metrics
  • Provide advice on Disaster Recovery planning and implementation
  • Investigate, plan, and deploy necessary SQL Server database patches and fixes
  • Special Requirements:
    • Participate in a rotating schedule, accessible 24×7 to provide emergency assistance in order to quickly respond
    • Provide technical support as needed via Blackberry and bridge line conference calls.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent related work experience
  • 3-5 plus years of experience administering SQL Server 2000 and 2005 required
  • Strong, quality design, data modeling, coding and testing practices, and problem solving skills
  • Capacity to balance both short- and long-term issues effectively
  • Flexibility and ability to work with multiple priorities
  • Extensive experience with RAID.

Additional Qualifications:

  • OLAP and Reporting Services administration experience preferred
  • Domino and IIS v6.0 and above preferred
  • CISSP certification is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with peers and non-technical personnel

  10. Prior experience in Lotus Notes (We have a legacy product that was part of our TriPoint Systems purchase.)

Ameinu, The national progressive Zionist organization, is looking for a social media marketing intern, to begin ASAP. The organization provides a variety of programs and advocacy activities to a changing American Jewish community. Cutting across regions and ages, Ameinu presents a pro-peace pro-Israel voice evn as other voices grow more strident.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the executive staff this position will offer the intern a terrific opportunity to help develop marketing and branding efforts for Ameinu. While the position will include involvement oin all areas of outreach and marketing there will be concentration on messaging online in areas like Wikipedia and social media (Facebook, MySpace and YouTube). For a student pursuing a career in marketing and related fields this is an excellent chance to work with others in creating complete cutting edge marketing plans. The intern will also participate in meetings and events with other organizations, politicians and luminaries from Israel and America.
