Seeking assistant to the president of a small non-profit foundation promoting higher education for gifted Israelis from disadvantaged backgrounds. NOTE: This job is located in the president’s home.
Successful candidate will be a college graduate (master’s preferred) with 2 years of experience in nonprofit/fundraising who is highly organized and a stickler for detail. Previous experience as a personal/executive assistant is highly desirable. A polished writing style, a flair for research and followup, and standard MSOffice skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) are also required. You must be a self-starter who enjoys working independently and thrives on multi-tasking under pressure. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) drafting letters to donors and VIPs, prioritizing president’s voluminous email and phone calls, tracking her schedule, assisting with event planning and president’s personal fundraising (including research), and filing.
Knowledge of Israel and/or Hebrew will be a plus.
President’s home office is located on the Upper East Side.
Flexible hours – 30 per week - may include some weekend hours prior to major fundraising events.
