The ideal candidate has a unique mix of programming and database skills, design insights and the ability to manage both organizational strategy and technical details. The successful candidate will work closely with departmental Vice Presidents, Directors and their designated Website contributors in order to manage accurate/timely content, look, and flow of the website to be consistent with branding /strategies to attract new and encourage old visitors. Establish a close working relationship with IT to assess web technology needs and implement solutions.
The position requires ability to think strategically within an internet framework; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in web content development and administration (3-5 years). Experience implementing information architecture; must have advanced HTML skills and experience with CSS, javascript and Web publishing and content management tools (e.g. Adobe GoLive, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, FrontPage, Adobe Acrobat Adobe PhotoShop, etc..)

General Summary:
The manager of web technologies is in charge of the day-to-day operations of company websites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs system administration tasks, manages email account, and develops websites. Project management of all web endeavors. Plans and creates information architecture for new sites. Conducts needs assessment and serves as liaison to other departments for web-based projects in development. Installs and configures web log analysis software (NetTracker) and produces reports. Supervises work of the Web Designer and Junior Web Developer. Serves on the Technology Planning and Advisory Committee.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; a relevant master’s degree is preferred. Background in information science and/or Jewish studies is desirable. Minimum five years experience in web development. Able to work with Unix and Windows platforms.
Requires strong interpersonal, verbal, and analytical skills. Must be able to manage professional staff.
